The Game System

The Entropic Gaming System (EGS) is a new tabletop role-playing rules system for any genre and subgenre. …[EGS] allows for multiple eras and influencing genres to utilize the same set of mechanics with little to no changes necessary. Designed with the principle of allowing maximum flexibility with fewer rules, characters can vary widely while still retaining the depth of their background, providing players with the means to translate their character concepts into something fully usable on the tabletop.”

The rules allow the game to focus on the story and the principle participants, the characters. Players will find that EGS provides familiar mechanical components, such as Abilities and Attributes, but these “mechanics” are married to characters options, like Qualities, that afford players the ability to create virtually any character in any game setting. Gamemasters are given a flexible, “rules-light” system that allows for effortless modifications and scaling to represent the adversaries, adventures, and concepts of specific settings (like that of Kane). For these reasons, and other imaginative and astute rules provided, EGS is the perfect system to sustain the Path of Kane campaign.
